Bed skirts are a cloth that is draped between the box spring and mattress of a bed to hide the legs and box spring. If you see a display bed you like, you can buy the pillowcases, sheets, duvet, and bed skirt to replicate the look. This can help you if you are not confident in building up your own look. Using pieces of bedding from the same store is the easiest way to make sure your fabrics and colors match the way you would like them. You will also be able to ask employees if they have different sizes of bed skirts in stock if your size is not on display. Most likely, you will only have to make one stop for all of your bedding. Pieces from different stores make a unique look that can't be easily replicated.

Personal tastes are important, especially if it is your own queen bed you are shopping for. If you have already found your bedding, but still do not have a matching bed skirt, you can try to get an idea of what kind you would like. Solid white bed skirts are the most common, because most should coordinate with your bedding. An off white or cream color should also work pretty well.
Bed skirts for children should not be too light in color as they will show dirt easily. Find some patterned skirt that had all of the colors of the rest of the room in it. This way, items cam be placed under without looking too messy. You will only need to change the bed skirt when you are washing the rest of the bedding.
Some people choose to have more than one bedding set, especially if they are not able to wash it and dry it in one day. Dry clean only bedding will need to be kept with a spare set.
